POST
  1. After submission, a task_id will be returned. If you provided a callback_url, when the task status becomes finished or failed, a POST request will be sent to the callback_url.
  2. Regardless of whether callback_url is provided, you can retrieve the result through the unified Query Task Status endpoint.
Ideogram Vector 1.0 Image to SVG converts a raster image, such as a PNG logo, a scanned sketch or a JPG illustration, into an SVG file you can scale and edit in a vector tool. Choose default mode for detail or simple mode for a cleaner, flatter result. No prompt is needed. Ideogram Vector 1.0 is Ideogram’s first model that outputs vector graphics instead of pixels. Vidgo exposes it as two model IDs: Text to SVG and Image to SVG.

Models

  • ideogram/vector-1.0/image-to-vector — Image to SVG with Ideogram Vector 1.0: one image in, one SVG out.

Features

  • Image-to-SVG vectorization of one image per request.
  • Two styles: default (finer detail) and simple (fewer shapes).
  • Accepts a public URL or an image data URI.

Required parameters

  • image_urls (string[]): Exactly one image (PNG, JPG or WebP recommended). Public HTTP(S) URL or data:image/...;base64,... data URI.

Optional parameters

  • mode (string): default or simple. Default default.

Output

The finished task returns SVG files (image/svg+xml) in the files array of Query Task Status and the callback payload. Open them in any vector editor or embed them directly in a web page.

Examples

  • Vectorize a logo in default mode: one PNG logo, mode: default.
  • Simple mode with callback: a JPG sketch, mode: simple, with a callback_url.

Notes

  • This ID takes no prompt; sending one returns 400. To create new SVG artwork from text, use Ideogram Vector 1.0 Text to SVG.
  • image_urls must contain exactly one image. Fields not listed above return 400. model and callback_url belong at the request root, not inside input.
  • Each request is billed at one flat rate per SVG; mode does not change the price. A failed task is refunded in full. See the pricing page for current rates.
