After submission, a task_id will be returned. If you provided a callback_url, when the task status becomes finished or failed, a POST request will be sent to the callback_url.
Regardless of whether callback_url is provided, you can retrieve the result through the unified Query Task Status endpoint.

Ideogram Vector 1.0 Text to SVG generates scalable SVG artwork from a prompt: logos, icons, stickers, badges and flat illustrations that stay sharp at any size. Lettering in the prompt is drawn as vector shapes. Add up to five reference images to steer style or composition. Ideogram Vector 1.0 is Ideogram’s first model that outputs vector graphics instead of pixels. Vidgo exposes it as two model IDs: Text to SVG and Image to SVG.

Required parameters

prompt (string): The artwork you want, 1–9,500 characters. Quote any lettering, for example "TRAILHEAD". Must not be blank.

Optional parameters

image_urls (string[]): 1–5 reference images (public HTTP(S) URLs or image data URIs). Omit the field when you have none.
quality (string): low, medium or high. Default medium.
n (integer): Number of SVG files, 1–8. Default 1.
size (string): Aspect ratio. Default auto. See Size.

Size

size sets the aspect ratio, not a pixel size: auto, 1:1, 1:4, 1:3, 1:2, 9:16, 10:16, 2:3, 3:4, 4:5, 5:4, 4:3, 3:2, 16:10, 16:9, 2:1, 3:1, 4:1.

Output

The finished task returns SVG files (image/svg+xml) in the files array of Query Task Status and the callback payload. Open them in any vector editor or embed them directly in a web page.

Examples

Prompt-only SVG icons: two square icon sets at medium quality.
Banner with a style reference and callback: a 3:1 banner with quoted lettering, one brand reference image, quality: high, with a callback_url.

Notes

To convert an existing raster image (PNG, JPG) into SVG, use Ideogram Vector 1.0 Image to SVG.
An empty image_urls array or more than five references returns 400. Fields not listed above return 400. model and callback_url belong at the request root, not inside input.
Credits are reserved at submission and depend on quality and n. With quality: high, sending image_urls uses a higher per-file rate; low and medium cost the same with or without references. A failed task is refunded in full. See the pricing page for current rates.
